Indiana University School of Dentistry | Indianapolis, IN
This addition to the IU School of Dentistry, located on the Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis campus, will house three new clinical units, each containing a mix of operatories, exams rooms, wet labs, storage/dispensaries, and office and reception space. A mix of limestone cladding and glass curtainwall, the exterior design includes a cantilevered canopy and is consistent with the character of both the campus and the original building. Challenges of the project include soil conditions, cantilvered upper floors and roof, the design of a monumental stair and detailing for connections to the existing facility. The building will follow USGBC LEED Silver principles.
